John Brown represents ½ of the ownership of the company. He was born into a family of renowned antiques dealers who spent decades traveling the world buying fine antiques. John earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing and then spent 10 years as a full-time antiques dealer. He is a former certified appraiser (earning a certificate of studies in Personal Property Evaluation from NYU) and even had been an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers. In 2012, John pivoted his career and opened Bid On Estates.
Jessica Brown parlayed a decade of banking and administrative experience into their company and handles all of the back-end duties.
Bid On Estates has performed hundreds of successful auctions, has a registered database of thousands of eager local bidders, and has sold more than $1,500,000 of antiques, collectibles, tools, and general household items in it’s relatively short but successful tenure.
We have accomplished this through a mutual respect for our clients and our bidders, expertise in our field, aggressive advertising, and honestly, just a lot of old fashioned hard work.
